DePelchin Children’s Center – Houston (Main Campus)

Very unprofessional, Perla scheduled my son’s appt for a different day we agreed on. Waited over an hour . She wasn’t even in the building . She refused to see my son when she came in wanted do continue with her schedule 10am appointment. Which is tacky and lacks compassion . I would give zero stars if I could .

2/11/2025. I received a phone call from DePelchin this afternoon pertaining to private and personal information that pertains to me. I was placed in DePelchin in the 1950's and was adapted by a middle class Couple, my Mom was an RN and house wife and my Dad was a instrument engineer at Humble/Exxon. The lady representative at DePelchin started in on a ramp at the law. I told her that I don't care about the law because the system is rigged to charge you and make you pay for anything and everything, including withholding personal and pertinent information pertaining to you as Ransom for you to pay for, court documents and other court and DePelchin formalities there may be. Here's what I say, you can take all that monetary pertinent information pertaining to me to your grave. The Divine Creator doesn't care who I was back then when I was held in DePelchin; God cares about who I am now.

I took my child here for grief counseling. I was very clear about our goals and objectives. Charlotte was his counselor. She was very low energy and unengaging. It seemed like she wanted to be somewhere else. Children need someone who is very interactive and interested in them. They blossom with those individuals. Unsurprisingly, my child did not connect with her at all and the sessions were ineffective. I had to start over again with a new agency which was very time consuming and frustrating. Charlotte should not work with kids. She does not seem to have the passion or skills for it. Overall, I don't recommend DePelchin.
