This place does not help you, what do it take for a person to be killed to receive help? This is supposed to be a 24 hour shelter assistance for battered women and children yet the lady tells me they can’t help me. STOP THE FALSE ADVERTISEMENT THIS PLACE DOES NOT HELP

I'm sure this shelter does amazing things for women, however..I stocked up 10 aldi bags worth, two totes and extras of (all brand new) cleaning supplies, feminine hygiene, shower items, non parashable food items, women and children's winter clothing (all brand new tags still on) and went to the shelter this evening to drop off to donate after speaking with a nice lady over the phone. Well, after arriving and carting up the hundreds of dollars worth of donations, after the phone was answered by another young lady Upon arrival, she was extremely rude to me and spoke to me like I was stupid THEN after waiting outside in the cold for 15 min I was told over the intercom that "I should just go". I'm not looking for recognition or a medal, just to make sure the donations all made it inside safely and we're not stolen. This was so disheartening and although the donations went toward (hopefully anyway) a good cause, the 2 employees I dealt with made so I NEVER want to donate here again. How disappointing. I hope these employees aren't going to continue treating people that way so other people don't stop donating like they encouraged me to this evening.

Incredibly helpful place for those who need assistance related to leaving and/or recovering from interpersonal violence. Advocates are kind, authentic and truly care. The resources that this center can connect people too are also invaluable.
