Peter Elak rated 1 2 months ago While im sure these people help and defend real victims that are good people, they are also very biased against dads and enable a a very verbally abusive wife. Ive had personal experience with them and found this to be true. |

Stephanie Hughes rated 1 3 years ago This place took me and my son in and fed us. I never felt safe here. I was belittled and aggressively talked down to by their "counselors" I would be told by other clients that they were helping her to get her birth certificate and since i'm disabled with extremely low income, I've no way to get ours. After i asked about it i was laughed at and told they don't do that and i was not to talk to the other clients about services they recieve. I first hand saw donations that were given to the shelter for xmas presents for residents going home with the staff. I was interrogated for asking a genuine question on my 3rd day there wanting to know if they were federally funded or private. The small amount of self esteem i had upon arrival was gone in under 2 weeks. You're better off staying in your car. |
Jennypadro rated 1 3 years ago I needed help and was turned away, even though the person who was hurting me was in jail for 17 years for murder. I begged this organization to help me, and since I don't have children, they turned me away. It was a long time ago, but I am still alive even though my abuser threaten to kill my family, and choked me unconscious. It was only when he attacked the Police and threatened to kill their family that anyone wanted me to help get him. But they would not help me with a place to go. Well I did it on my own. So if you don't have children, don't contact this organization. Look for help elsewhere. But do get help.
Sad that I might not have been here for my nephew niece and mother who all need me because of this group"s politics. |
