I have lived at Shannon's hope for the last year and it has been a tremendous help! I have grown immensely while being here emotionally, mentally, and spiritually all alike. When I first came to Shannon's hope I was shy and timid and didn't feel like I belonged anywhere after being in Shannon's hope I feel like I have not only a group of friends but family. Shannon's hope help me gain my confidence, my sobriety, and my sense of well-being all which I was lacking before I came. I was homeless on the street before coming to Shannon's hope and it was a place where again not only friends but sisters and family came alongside me giving me a home to stay at until I was able to gain permanent housing. Although I'm thankful for my housing I am deeply saddened to leave the camaraderie that was built here at Shannon's hope. The staff is loving, caring, genuine, and honestly interested in my well-being, I would recommend this place to anybody that is struggling with sobriety, with housing issues, or with issues of feeling they don't belong anywhere in this world and needing a place to call home with family this is the place!

Shannon’s Hope changed my life. I came in broken, unsure of who I was or where I was going. But what I found was more than shelter—I found a family. I started as a resident, but over time, I grew into leadership and eventually became part of the staff. That growth wouldn’t have been possible without Ms. Leslie and Grandpa Rick. They didn’t just lead—they loved. They saw something in me when I couldn’t see it myself. They treated me like a daughter, with so much grace, patience, and the kind of unconditional love that only comes from truly living out the heart of Christ. Their faith in me gave me the courage to believe in myself. Shannon’s Hope isn’t just a program—it’s a place where lives are reborn, where hearts are healed, and where God’s love is so present you can feel it in every hug, every conversation, every moment. I’ll forever be grateful.

My mom hit rock bottom. Everything felt heavy, chaotic, and uncertain—until we found Shannon’s Hope. From the moment we walked through the doors, there was a sense of peace we hadn’t felt in a long time. And at the heart of that peace is Leslie, the founder. Leslie isn’t just running a treatment center—she’s answering a calling. You can see it in the way she sits with you, listens like every word matters, and somehow always knows what’s needed without forcing a thing. For my mom, that meant being seen not just as someone in crisis, but as someone still worthy of dignity, healing, and new beginnings. I’ve worked in recovery and mental health for nearly a decade, and I’ve seen a lot of facilities. Some are clinical. Some are cold. Shannon’s Hope is neither. It’s warm, personal, and deeply human. Leslie leads with empathy. Watching my mom begin to smile again—to hope again—is something I’ll never forget. And I know it’s because she feels safe here. If you’re wondering if this place is real—if there’s still somewhere out there where healing is sacred and people are truly cared for—let me tell you: it’s real. It’s here. And it’s led by someone who means every word she says.Thank you, Leslie. Thank you for walking with my mom—and with me—with so much grace.
