I was kicked out the mission of Yahweh for taking up for my roommate on this past Wednesday. A lady and I were informed to go to the Beacon for housing and her name is Romana. She's Indian and young. She doesn't communicate with her clients and she doesn't give resources out the way she should. She should be removed as a case manager. Myself and my roommate were going to leave on Tuesday night to stay downtown at the Beacon throughout the night. So when Romana knew my roommate was coming along with me she changed her mind. She openly told the RA Ms. Diane that if my roommate left out on Tuesday night she would be discharged. So I informed my roommate on what was said. The thing is why didn't Romana have enough respect to tell my roommate in private. My roommate at the time spoke to Ms. Diane an asked her did Romana say anything to her and Diane said No. So Diane told Ms. Barbara everything that happened. At this point, I was doing my chore which was around 6pm. I was upstairs doing trash and it took 4 to 5 people to run into me and tell you're getting kicked out for being messy. My thoughts on that is how can you tell an adult when they can and can't speak. Ms. Barbara called me messy. Those were the exact words that came out of her mouth. I have the proof. Thank you. So I calmly helped them pack my belongings. Then they put my roommate out due to them calling the police. My roommate felt threatened by Romana saying she was going to physically harm her and kick her out. The twist on this is they gave me a night to stay and I had to leave the next morning. I was told by Ms. Barbara that should not be seen or heard due to the situation. So I'm glad that I stayed calm in this situation and conducted myself. I was disrespected and mistreated by most. And to say I was there for only 4 months. And it's plenty more situations that I can write about as well. Even the pastor focusing people to go to chapel.

The Mission of Yahweh has been a godsend to me! At a time in my life when I was homeless and lost, literally and figuratively. I was alone and I had nothing but a suitcase. I felt unwanted by the world. I found The Mission of Yahweh welcomed me with open arms. I have experienced so many positive things, from the computer lab where I could create a resume, the House of Hope where I got a free wardrobe, to the guidance of my case manger, the chapel where I could renew my faith in God, and the opportunity to give back by working here to hone my skills and the love and acceptance of the other women who live here. All our needs are met through the generosity of the board members, the staff, and the people who make it work through donations. I can honestly say that today I am a whole new woman, I have a full time job, I am happy, I feel loved, and I have learned that I have value in the world. A huge Thank You to the people who made this happen for me and so many others who were in the same dire straights as I was. Thank You.

To whom it may concern, I reside at this residence I am pleased to say that I for one am greatful to be here. The mission has helped me in so many ways, for intense, I when I came to the mission on April 2021 I had nothing but to small plastic bags in my hands, along with mentally ditrout, no job, no food, etc. I was in quarantine for seven days and the day before I was moved to The main building I got a thought, I took those two plastic bags and put all of my old clothes in them and went to the trash can and told myself "out with the old in with the new" and from that point I made a change in my life because I chose too, not because someone sugested it, it was free will! I started with a 7.35 an hour job working for Dollar Tree, did this for months! use to take three buses to get there. I never let nothing or no-one get in my way,and as of October 2021 I went to school and obtained my CNA/BLS/CPR/AED and a Food Handler Certificate, from there my confidence was built in me and grew stronger because I chose to have and make a better life for myself, my point is no matter where you reside at there are rules that you have to follow, whether it be in your own home, job or a place you have to go to until then, you have rules, its to help you build tructure in your life no other reason than that. If you dont have rules or struture everything will fall apart. Its what you make of it. with that being said I will be leaving the mission of yahweh on July 2, 2022 with a job waiting on me and my family, so yes im very pleased and very greatful to all staff members as well as myself. This place will really help as long as you want it. God Bless whoever reads this.

I reached out to someone here and felt very invisible. I wanted to know more information on this program to get assistant with my 1 year old daughter. In 90 degree weather . All the women said to me was they don’t do assessments for outside clients never offered me any other assistant and gave me a list of resources that doesn’t even apply to me . I have no disabilities and in good health and they sent me away for that . I’m so dispatch in these people

The Mission of Yahweh’s resale shop is a great place to shop. The resale shop has so many services to help the community and people in need. I went there just to check out the resale shop and turns out they had a lot of name-brand clothes, plus size clothes and hair care products, and kitchen items. The resale shop has a nice clean shop. They have deep discounts like 60-70% off. I was able to purchase business clothes for myself and some fun weekend items.
