Firstly I can't thank the good volunteers enough for the work they do for a great cause. Thank you!
However, this food bank has some shady operations. For one, when my husband went to go volunteer for a shift, they said that they couldn't take him because he was 3 minutes late for that shift. If you truly care about letting people volunteer for a good cause, is this REALLY a good reason to turn someone away?
I've also seen, what I believe, are some under the table transaction between the staff and people walking in. Can't confirm, but I know someone who can go investigate. The way this place is run is just sketchy.
