My friend immediately went right back into the arms of her abuser after HOC showcased her profile on social media to acquire more funding for 13 months. Zero stars! She ended up right back where she began. She left HOC with Battered Woman Syndrome. The moment she came back home she signed a lease for an apartment and allowed him to move in right away. She even stayed with her in-laws with him while they were waiting for the apartment. She was not a success story at all and I fear for her life because she is back in harm’s way. My friend was forced to abandon her job, apartment, to leave all of her responsibilities like bills, car payment, pets, and lease behind with no aid. How is that helpful? Do your research before entering this facility.

I volunteered at HOC and fell in love with the ladies! The atmosphere was filled with encouragement, love and unending hope. The foundation, values & mission of this place is reflected by the chosen staff and approved volunteers; I am certain every family that crosses the threshold will be positively changed.
