I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel like people should be warned about FSA in North Little Rock, especially Amanda Felhofer, LAC. I had an intake appointment scheduled and ended up needing to reschedule twice. The first time, I was running on no sleep and didn’t feel like I could really participate in the session in a meaningful way. The second time, there was a severe thunderstorm with lightning strikes clearly visible from the freeway, and I had to make sure my daughter got home safely from daycare. I called about 45 minutes before the appointment to reschedule. I was told the new date would be the 25th. Later, I called just to confirm the time, and that’s when I found out Amanda had completely canceled the appointment without telling me. No one called. No voicemail. No email. If I hadn’t checked in, I would have spent the next ten days thinking I had a session coming up, only to be left with nothing. And in mental health care, waitlists for intakes are long everywhere, so now I have to start all over again. To make things worse, the receptionist (who was actually very kind and helpful) told me Amanda said she thought it would be best if I “found another agency.” Seriously? Because I rescheduled twice, one of those times during a dangerous storm while trying to get my child home safe? This was a huge letdown. When you’re reaching out for help, the last thing you need is to be dropped without a word and told to go somewhere else. Amanda showed no compassion, no professionalism, and no basic courtesy. If you’re looking for mental health support, look somewhere else. You deserve better.
