Not sure if it's because everyone seems to be new in their positions here, but the family shelter is a mess! Stayed here 7 weeks with case management severely lacking, and no real guidance or resources. Was told the first week there that a handyman/plumber would be in to fix vital repairs, pretty sure those repairs are still pending (8 weeks later). Not sure why when we were told the shelter had just been renovated. With the Federal grants and monetary donations they receive, what could be the hold up?! Have already filed a complaint with 9news investigates, hope they they can get to the bottom of these issues. I would suggest seeking help from another shelter if possible, but if you do end up there, best of luck to you!! Not saying this place isn't good for anyone or that you won't succeed in the program. But it just wasn't the place for me and my family.

Almost Home is a very caring. I will say, I was in awe when I discovered the SWAP program. To my understanding, to get off the streets for a night or two whilst the snow blanketed the outdoors was unheard of. Delighted and giving thanks to the Lord and all who provide for the homeless.

Super terrific organization! When COVID-19 hit, this organization was able to assist me with funding. Can't thank them enough. Vanessa C was the lady that helped me I was so appreciative for her and the team.
