This place is wonderful and a true blessing to the women and children in the community.

WCA Boise is an unethical, unprofessional and discriminatory operation. Male, conservative employees are discriminated against regularly by multiple people including HR representative Leigh Manser, Shelter Co-Managers Susan Fichtner and Beatriz Trejo and ultimately CEO Beatrice Black. These four executive staff collude together and coherse other associates in order to terminate males. They lie about people and departments, tarnishing their professional reputations. Donations are taken home by employees, or used to decorate their offices and regularly, they are simply thrown away. This is quite the non-profit organization.

I worked at the WCA. It is an amazing place, full of caring people. The staff is well trained and clients are the priority. There is a community program as well as a residential program and all services are free if needed.

They were very welcoming but the counselors do not stay long and once you build their trust it seems like they left so now I don’t attend counseling afraid of that. It took a year or more to build trust with my two counselors I had there and they left and it was super sad. Everything else was good tho besides that... needing resources their good but counselors staying, not so much.

I will be forever grateful to this place. I felt I was in a hopeless situation. Without them I don't know where my family would be. They helped me with so much, life skills, financial planning, work, counseling, advocates. They help provide the tools to rescue yourself (and family). They treat you like an actual person, and not just another body to the roster. Also their case managers do not procrastinate, and are helpful on getting you back on track-quickly. You just need to be willing to help yourself...no matter how hopeless it may seem ;)
