EMBRACE GRACE is a support group for women with unplanned pregnancies. Through dynamic teaching and the personal testimonies of women who have walked in their shoes, this 12-week curriculum helps expecting mothers find a place of hope and belonging. The group culminates in a church-wide baby shower for the participants.

I attended their Tuesday night youth group. Everyone there is so nice! Steve (the youth pastor) was really nice and made me feel welcome. He was really engaging with the kids and delivered a fantastic message. I recommend this youth group for anyone looking for a place to have fun, make friends, and learn about God!

I wasn't going to leave a review but because all of the five star reviews we had decided to try this church out, so I wanted to share what we experienced when attending a few services here...
We attended before Christmas and had found that the service lacked prayer. I saw another review on here where someone was saying they didn't pray, and they are right! They had communion and didn't even pray at that point (communion is rushed and felt cold), the only prayers we heard were over a baptism that they did one service. Any other prayers were super short and not from the heart.
The worship is like watching a bad band practice where it's really hard to participate because they jump around from one part of a song to another and no one knows their parts. Also, can we just get rid of those obnoxious LIGHT SABER lights?! They are so distracting.
When it came time for the sermon the pastor worked really hard to tell everyone a message that they could use throughout their week, but didn't make a whole lot of sense. At three points during telling a Bible story and a personal story he used the word JOY in place of saying The HOLY SPIRIT...seriously, it was like it was a taboo word he was avoiding.
They made sure to mention their building is rented to a Hispanic church on Sunday afternoons...in a tone that sounded like they were patting themselves on the back for helping the lesser than.
At the end of the services the congregation was sent off with a nice "have a blessed week" instead of a closing prayer.
Now for the Christmas Eve Service:
Usually for a Christmas Eve Service you can expect three things...traditional carols, a candle lit room, and a short message on the birth of Christ.
What we experienced here... 1) a full band that sang just a few songs which were not traditional and had many added solos, which were so hard to follow. 2) a brightly lit room with zero ambiance to set the mood for a Christmas service. 3) a message which included Jesus...but jumped around so much that it felt more like the message was about Christ dying for our sins rather than the birth story...what lead up to it, and what Jesus' birth meant for us. 4) a lengthy description of all that the church is doing in Haiti, and with their food pantry, and again...how they rent the building out to the Hispanic church once a week, which included an inappropriate impression from the pastor in a "Hispanic voice" about how good the pot luck is at the Hispanic service and how everyone should stop by to try the food. 5) communion, without prayer and only about 30 seconds to take the bread and wine (which are tacky pre-sealed cups that look like Denny's creamers and taste terrible). 6) Lastly, a couple of songs. The first was pretty normal..finally. Then they added an echo to all of the vocals that sounded like something out of a Sci-fi movie and almost had me giggling! I kept wondering if they were going to dim the darn lights and get out the candles, and right then the pastor got up on stage. He asked the congregation to get out their CELL PHONES and turn on the flash light "like they do at Garth Brooks concerts" for the next song. OMG...it was like a bad movie. There we were in a brightly lit room, echoey diced up Christmas songs, and people holding up their phones with their flashlights on. I looked at my husband with huge eyes and he just laughed.
Honestly, this church has a lot to figure out. First of all...invite God by praying, invite the Holy Spirit by not being afraid to preach about it, and lastly...don't be so afraid to dim the darn lights!

After taking a year off to travel in our Airstream in order to see the country and find a new place to call home we discovered Boise and fell in love. We totally lucked out and stumbled across Foothills. The church is immaculate, the kids love youth group and pastor Doug’s passion and wisdom motivates you to live a better life. For the first time in my life I look forward to attending church and hearing the truth.
