Got my appointment canceled 30 minutes before the appt… only to be told “I don’t know when we’ll be available again, are you familiar with the courthouse?”. Well of course I am! But I need help filling out the specifics and what exactly is needed and got told this place was the place to help and know what is needed. Here I go to the courthouse solo! Thanks for nothing!

Needed help, they kept trying to convince me to report who assaulted me. I told them I didn't want to because it's not safe, then she started explaining how the reporting process goes. I told her from the beginning i didn't feel safe disclosing that. They're so used to using scripts, they didn't actually listen to you like a real person. I just hung up. I tried to get help, i didn't get it, and was left feeling worse because this is the place i was told i could go to for help. Hate this place. If someone builds enough courage to share what happened to them, they shouldn't leave feeling more isolated and unsupported. If i could rate them lower than hell, i would.

This place keeps a safe, confidential space to handle restraining orders and more. There is a small waiting area with other related resources posted on the wall. They are kind and curtious. There is also a small space off to the side with donations such as shoes, purses, clothes, and more.
