If you have an opportunity to donate to this amazing charity please do. They are helping women in so many different situations in ways that most will never be able to repay, including myself. They use the resources from our community (that they give free of cost) to help women escape domestic abuse and begin to heal. Their staff is caring and understanding. They do so much to help people I would never hesitate to recommend their services.

The counseling staff is the best part of the program. The staff members that work for MMC treat the clients so bad they need therapy to combat the secondary victimization abuse that we have to face in programs like this. All county and state resources are made available to help women like myself to understand the cycles of abuse and how to avoid them. But what do you do if this organization who is designed to help is the one who causing further damage. Women are treated as if they are drug addicts and restricted from there legal right to obtain all documents that are sign by them. If a client obtains an attorney to obtain records the staff is told to deliberately refuse clients attorney request for records.

I went there for help. I had one excellent worker who helped me with my hurdles but after her I got a worker who seemed to help me have hurdles instead kicked me and my 4 children (8 months-6 years old) out to our car with no resources in the child of February, just tossed 5 blankets in our van did my exit review without me or my seeing it said good luck and walked away. I would have preferred case management and assistance in getting out but she was neither resourceful nor encouraging she constantly made my stay there my main and sole focus while undermining my efforts. If you go there I pray you get a good worker. Some are genuinely there to help but if they are not it's your word against theirs and who do you turn to? Staff is very kind though and they have many resources. Good luck with case managers though. 5 stars for my initial case manager and all other staff plus they have excellent resources. ***Update**** The poor excuse for a case manager is no longer with them. All excellent case managers now! Nice clean up for the wonderful individuals in charge!
