Well initially they were welcoming and seemed to be a great thing for my current set of circumstances! I communicated all my concerns and was transparent about my mental health, trauma and current and ongoing CRISIS. But after telling the staff my set of circumstances, they chose NOT to hear me not to believe me when the exact thing happened because I WAS right in the middle of my FORECLOSURE and doing what sheriff asked of me. I was on empty, broke, out of gas and no wifi. After signing for the new storage unit I headed for my first night at UMOM. Omg! I was super frazzled heading back because driving on empty isn't cool, I have legit anxiety disorder, I tried to call the facility all evening after I had realized I was on w van Buren instead of the correct address. I called and asked for my case worker they seemed to assume it all is lies and excuses! ASSUME....yeah, so I took screenshots of satalite locations at various times when I was just lost at midnigw pass curfew. The póibt is....I didn't stay ONE night! Youd think the staff would be educated in crisis enough to prevent all this....stress on an already stressful situation! Noo, they said I" abandoned the program" when I finally was able to reach a person ,not a voicemail, I was extremely weak, sad, out of money, out of food and on empty yet again, to come to shelter to hear that not only was I on the street AA singleb58yr old woman...but they said they HAD to throw away all of my food! A concerned staff member handed me a grievance form and whisperwd that they saw my food in the break room...I spent 80.00 and asked for reimbursement and to speak to the director. They would NOT tell me her name. I was sooo hungry for my healthy gormet food ..smoothies, deli food cokes muffins Greek dips desserts! I left that place sooo upset sooo sad and the business owners who heard me crying had the class to just help me out offering me gas to alieviate my stress! I aak, why couldn't the shelter staff use their heads to provide solutions to this problem? The solution would have been to start me on following day! Wow! I was a house manager for residential detox and it's really not at all comprehendable how adding to my trauma was the solution! I aak WHY was there no contact number at that time of night? Why did one woman who answered at another location not make any effort, and why would she act Stoopid by indicating she didn't know who my case worker even was! Wow! I am yet further disgusted that people whoni trusted to provide a safe haven further bullied me and seemingly took pleasure in not even verifying my proof of everything I said happened. Wow! Wow! Wow! I'm still homeless and have a stalker following me at night! I'm sleep deprived, disappointed and disgusted at the LACK of effort in working through it with me. At least try to verify what I said to be true! Maybe they are all burnt out at their jobs and should move over for a more passionate counselor can take their job over and take some care in not being hasty in making such serious assumptions that result in further crisis for the already traumatized and displaced person in a crisis! I have been in ER for heart and heat exhaustion and related to anxiety. I now have 80 symptoms of STROKE warning signs. Not sure how to deal w so many concerns with my limited support, limited income and vehicle troubles ( I live in my vehicle). I have daily contact with police due to discrimination of how people view homeless Have your director call me at her earliest convenience please? I just really hope they read reviews because they are important! They're should me more initiative and accountability and even an apology! Signed, Person STILL in unsafe and unhealthy conditions w bo food and little faith in human nature. Somethings wrong in this world! Thank you for paying attention to MY experience.

I would definitely say . The state needs to look into this place and what the actual funding is used for . Thw treatment by so called staff is absolutely horrific and abusive in itself. Funding whats it used for their personal use . Shady unsafe more abuse from strangers and the director and board members dont seem to respond to any negative information, calls or emails . Keep your self your children outbof this place
