Malai Lucas rated 1 2 weeks ago At umom it was horrible and the food was gross and they never really gave drinks and it would smell like smoke in the rooms and they would randomly show up at your door doing a room check. The Laundry .room is terrible people leave their clothes in and sometimes the laundry machines breaks down and one of them caught on fire 🔥 if I could give it a zero star I would. It was like a prison and 2 people 🔫 (shot) themselves in front of there family and the front desk people are so rude and they talk about the people there. Our case manager was horrible she did not do her job well and be fake to my mother and she would joke to my mom saying if me and my sister went missing she took them. There would always be police there a lot. I stayed there last year in February to October (9months) |
Kelly L rated 1 a month ago You should probably not let your residents beat their children in view of cameras and half a dozen witnesses and then state there is nothing you can do about it. AND....AND...yes it is a homeless shelter but it is YOUR responsibility to protect youthful residents as well! Horrible front desk you should feel ashamed as the child that was beaten on your property today! 5/10/23 |
Dixie Lea rated 5 4 months ago UMOM is an amazing place very helpful and caring staff. Caseworker Ashley goes above and beyond full of resources, help, advice and kind words, always polite and shows concern. |
KuSh iaM rated 1 5 months ago Staff has a issue with uploading the core values and mission statements they have created to show donors. If only you could teach empathy, understanding and patience. Evidently, we the homeless have time to be wasted by the flawless staff. I have been taught by the staff that dignity is a luxury that only the better off can afford. At the very least stop minimizing needs of others because you don't require the same needs.
Do you research on who your donating to. PLEASE |
Maeoni Lucas rated 1 7 months ago Don't stay here if you don't have to. Food is horrible and they don't give drinks with meals. Staff are horrible. Front desk sit and talk about people. The people are horrible,. Kids are bad. You'll see the police there at least a dozen of times. How can you appreciate this shelter when it makes you worse then when you came in, this place ruins your mental health and physical health. we went through 3 different Case managers. Noah he was nice. But Fernandez he never cared. He always made jokes about how he wanted to get fired. He always made weird uncomfortable jokes always talking about getting another job. He was just horrible. Case manager Sherry Washington is horrible. She is fake, lies about doing something that she says she would, misses meeting's and uses your time with someone else etc. She kept pushing for my mom to get a job and they wouldn't help her with housing until she got one. We left and they said only take 2 bags because they were providing transportation. They threw out everything. I left my 2 dolls which were the last thing my grandma gave me before she passed. This place is like a prison you can leave. This shelter doesn't care about you. |
