If I could give it zero stars, I would. I will comment on the women’s center here although they are also providing horrible service for substance abusers, and mental health clients. In regards to the women’s center, I had been a patient for over 10 years - never was real help given. Every time a group for victims started that might be of help it ended. (They said victims didn’t want to discuss in a group setting). When you genuinely need assistance with victim related issues you can not get seen. They started a newer policy where there is counselors of the day, that see people on a first come first serve basis. I have waited at least 2 hours on many occasions. When you are a mom that is almost impossible. If you are in an active dv relationship and need assistance, it is not given either. I used to recommend this place, not anymore. I would not recommend to anyone. The only people going regularly are court ordered through DCF or other organizations.
