I couldn't even get my size 51/2-6 shoe in the door. Over the phone, the intake specialist, simply gave me another number to dial(🤦). I then went on to asking her, if there were "Any" Emergency Housing or Funding...she said "No". If I said this once I will say it again, if you are going through Domestic -Violence", Georgia is a not the place you wanna be...for HELP!"

The staff is super nice but there is a complete disconnect with the legal system in this County. The Protection Order I got is NOT enforceable in Douglas County. It continues to be violated everyday yet they tell me to call the Sheriff's Office that still won't issue a warrant. So, I was used as a number for their funding, but still continue to be harassed every single day.

More like SHAME HOUSE!!!! This agency has policies that prevent them from helping the people that need it most. I’ve being stalked and harassed by my ex for well over a year and have solid documentation from detectives and officers in both Paulding and Douglas Counties. I contacted them for assistance and was told there was a “conflict” so they can’t help. When I inquired, they explained that my ex already called them asking for help in defense of the TPO I’ve been trying to obtain. They didn’t care what solid evidence I had or that my ex has literally been arrested and gone to jail for stabbing me and now breaking into my home. . They basically told me it was “first come, first serve. This is a sad policy. What’s even sadder is they are the ONLY source of assistance in Douglas and Paulding. This place could be shameful and whoever their funding is through needs to be made aware of their ridiculous practices.

I currently called this shelter for help literally 3times for assistance and NOT ONCE DID THEY OFFER TO HELP ME! I WAS EVEN TOLD I would receive a call back from the lady that ansawer majority of the time but NEVER NOT ONCE DID SHE CALL! I GUESS SHE FELT MY SITUATION WASN'T ABUSIVE ENOUGH! I finally received help from another place which accepted me and my children. I gave them clear documentation of the abuse from the police, past and current restraining orders, calls, and text of the threats. I'm so glad that they helped me and my children out when SHARE HOUSE decided they wouldn't. I'm glad we didn't go to SHARE House now because after the way I was treated over the phone there's no telling how we wouldvwo been treated there, specially after reading some of the reviews. For the lady answering the phones saying she'll call people back in a 5min time to let them know if it's space but NEVER gives a call back at all! I think she should be investigated! My children lives are just as important as anyone's else's!
