hello my name is Carter michniewicz I was apart of the New Jersey youth corps program of this cohort October-February 2026 I should of looked at the reviews before coming to this program
Most of them are right, a program designed for dropouts to have a Chance at a future they do offer that but what they don’t tell you is that they are not there to actually understand or help witch is what these programs are made for to give any youth a better future keyword any.
many youth drop out for many reasons some had the privilege to drop out some sacrificed there entire life to change there ways and succeed
Some just need that that push and for people to understand them for the last 4 years of my life I’ve been in out of the system yearning for a better life and I sacrificed everything for it I am now 1 year sober and on a very good path in life I joined this program for my ged of course but I forgot one thing this is still the same old system every program and facility. Is. 1 month and a half ago they kicked me out of the building and told me to walk home as they saw I was in distress and not stable I was talking about the many flaws and juts how immoral they are I was not violent nor aggressive I was speaking passionately about the way they treat us and they threw me out like all the others places did ironic since they help homeless people in poverty every day I was the only person who was eager to do everything the pictures the speeches even made a 4ft sculpture still gonna finish it btw. my whole life is dedicated to spreading my love and the message of love
but they have to keep there reputation I understand but it’s not a business you are helping sick individuals, so if you are going to attend this program and have a past of addiction behavior issues or any kind of past that you know will be judged especially in this setting be advised they do not care they have to keep there reputation and they will ignore you today they called the cops on me knowing my history I was not violent or aggressive I will admit I was cursing but that does not justify how you treat a human being especially in that setting you are loved who Ever is reading this don’t let people that think they are higher up than you make your decisions all they are is a person in a suit that is waiting for that check to live their miserable full of hatred life I will move forward with my life and get my social work license and this fuels my purpose in my life my only purpose to help as many Individuals as I can and I will never in my life be in a position of power to treat people like they treated me I will never be an immoral business person that does more harm than help H.O.H
I love you all

The HOW program is an abysmal failure and Cora should be fired. The HOW program promised professional externships after you sit through there computer classes. They start the externships late, tell you before the externships that you have to put in so many hours every week, but because they irresponsibly start the externships late you can’t get the hours done because the site they assign you to for the externship is not open enough hours a day to get your externship done in the time allocated. I complained to my teachers about everything going wrong at my externship and they said to speak to Cora. Cora was supposed to fix everything but she never did. Also, be aware that by professional externships that mean things like dog walking, cleaning, serving tea and nothing that has anything to do with the computer work you do in class. The students are basically being exploited as cheap unpaid labor by the externship sites. Only one person from my class actually got a job and the job she got was part time at Walmart. I know because people from the class stayed friends afterward. They are only concerned with getting women to sign up for the class and they are not concerned at all with the success of you as a student. The reason they are allowed to call what the students attend externships, is because there’s currently no standards in the United States for externships the way there is for internships so they found a loophole where they can take donations from donors without having to meet any standards where the work sites can exploit the students from the HOW program as free, cheap labor. Many of the students at the HOW programs had problems with their externships and Cora is in charge of fixing the problems but never did.

First said they couldn't help my homeless family when on the verge of being shelterless due to circumstances beyond our control with a 1 year old and infant due in a couple months. Then the woman called me back saying she spoke with the supervisor and could probably help in some way. Took my information and told me she'd call back in 24hrs to let me know which way they could help, even if it were helping us get our car back so we could live in that. It's been over 3 weeks with no response despite my contacting them. Hope shouldn't be given to families in dire situations if they're going to leave them without shelter or answers.
Update: Still have not heard back about assistance over 1 year later.
