Absolute waste of time! Ive left 8 messages and not one call back. Dont offer if you will never provide services. Now with another legal matter im involved in, somehow prairie state represenyed this person and now its a conflict of interest to represent me with even a chance to talk to anyone.

HORRIBLE SERVICE AND A WASTE OF TIME TRAVELING TO THERE OFFICE. The receptionist was cursing, too foolish for her age, unprofessional and back stabbing. The most unprofessional mean spirited miserable and jealous people here!! They chose to be unhelpful!! There quick to tell you how you can't win in court even when you present them with facts regarding simply concerns ABOUT CONTINUOUS ROACHES IN YOUR APARTMENT. When l met with Kathleen at THE HESED HOUSE...l saw here attitude go from BAD TO WORST. She did nothing but make copies of SOME of the documents and showed NO EMPATHY OR SYMPATHY when l presented quite a few points...even when l showed it towards her when she had to take an call from the hospital about her parent(s). I tell you.. EVIL MISERSBLE PEOPLE NEVER CAN SHOW COMPASSION TOWARDS OTHERS. l brought in documents to support my case with my AWFUL PROPERTY MANAGER AT THE AURORA HEIGHTS APARTMENTS. I tried to present all documents to Kathleen with more documents but she wouldn't accept them. In fact she became ABRUPT AND DIFFICULT. I was sooooo happy to leave this EVIL SAD PLACE BEHIND YESTERDAY. SHAME ON YOU PRAIRIE STATE FOR BEING DISRESPECTFUL AND UNHELPFUL WITH CERTAIN PEOPLE/CLIENT'S. Oh, remember you may need assistance one day...and God will give you all what you Sowed. Also the wait time is simply RIDICULOUS when you only had 2 to 3 people waiting to receive your AWFUL ASSISTANCE. I WAS EARLY AND STILL WAS SEEN almost 30 minutes LATE. Since you say, you're in the legal business to help people...then HELP ALL WHO COME TO SEE YOU... DON'T BE DIFFICULT AND PLEASE STOP BEHAVING LIKE KIDS IN HIGH SCHOOL BY SPEAKING BADLY ABOUT CLIENTS IN ORDER TO ELEVATE YOURSELVES. SHAME ON YOU PRAIRIE STATE LEGAL SERVICES/HESED HOUSE FOR PROVIDING HORRIBLE UN-LAWFUL AND UNHELPFUL, UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE TODAY.

The lawyers at Prairie State are passionate and invested in the work they do. They offer their services to the lower income bracket with no charge to the client. Having to navigate the legal system as a victim of a crime and having nobody fighting for you, can be scary and deter a person from actually pursuing the justice they deserve. The reviews I read on here about unanswered phones seems ridiculous to me, Daisy @the front desk is awesome and if you select to speak to an operator she will try to help you in any way possible. The women of Prairie State were there for me when I was pregnant, scared and naive. They really care about their work. think of all the cases they are taking on to help people who can't afford it. Don't like their call return system? Get a different lawyer who charges just to take your phone call. But if you can afford that, why even call Prairie State?
