It pains me to write this but it’s time for people to be held accountable. The Women’s center can help you with a lot but I want to make it clear, there is favoritism here. Ashley who works at one of the shelters, is closer to her coworkers and does whatever she can to get participants kicked out simply because she doesn’t agree or like you. Orianne, also part of staff, is closely related to a DCF case manager which is a COMPLETE conflict of interest when most participants have open DCF cases. Orianne will ask you questions and get close to you just to run back and tell her aunt. In my case, her aunt was my social workers BOSS. Leanne, Elise & the overnight staff was always pleasant. Everyone else was constantly waiting on you to mess up. Instead of searching participants belongings before you enter the facility, they don’t search anything and make it your issue several months later after “randomly” searching your room. You can’t disagree with the staff, you can’t walk away and ask for space or they will follow you up the stairs and force you into a conversation. Ashley specifically tried to get my son taken away after I had just gotten him back. I broke the rules in the facility I guess but I didn’t break the law so jokes on them and I continue to laugh til this day. Ironically this all happened the day AFTER I had a disagreement with a member of staff. I’m sorry but if that disagreement would’ve never happened, they would’ve never tried me the way they did which is called… RETALIATION. If you have to stay here, KEEP TO YOURSELF. Don’t tell anyone ANYTHING about your life. Don’t get close to the staff except maybe the people I mentioned good things about. They are not your friends and they will do anything to push their personal agenda. If it wasn’t for the women there who actually LIKED me, they would’ve kicked me out to the streets a long time ago like they did to MULTIPLE other participants while I was there. This is supposed to be a place that helps women after traumatic experiences and promises to help you. Not a place where they gossip and make you feel like the odd one out. Ashley and Orianne are both a prime example of MEAN GIRLS and they have no place at a WOMENS DV SHELTER.

Doctor Injil Abu Bakar is the worse doctor I ever had. She told me after I explained what I'm feeling that she doesn't know what I have without doing any test. Some doctor just want the money no really care about patient care and it's sad because people can have serious health problems. At the same time the medical assistant of Women's Center she's the best, very kind and professional.
