So glad to have found Section 8 through MDHA. Need housing and can't afford a place? Call them. They'll do what they can to help find you the best options.

Affordable housing is a blessing. My review isn't pertaining to the program. I am blessed to have affordable housing and a roof over my head. With that said it would be nice if tenants were treated with respect, their housing concerns to be addressed instead of ignored. It's not a funding thing, funding send to be at a record level. It's about treating people with respect. If a tenant reports an unsafe issue, mold, flaking paint, drywall deteriorating it should be addressed. A tenant should not be made to feel they are the problem instead of the housing issues bring the problem. Affording the new Nashville is very challenging for so many of us that grew up here. Life has already thrown many of us challenges, housing should not be the biggest threat to ones mental and physical health. A social service program is only as good as the people running it. If the people don't care about those they are helping they should not work with people or in social services.
