I had a very positive experience with my representative, Robert. He was extremely knowledgeable and his positive demeanor made the process easy to understand and how to get the most from all of the valuable resources that MASS Unemployment offers. As a MA resident, seeing all of the resources and opportunities to better our skills to find great job, manage our mental health and cultivate communication skills to become great leaders for our co-workers and even our friends and family. Enter the program with an open mind and with out judgement or feel it is only "hoops and roadblocks". I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the guidance and support I received from Ana Lima during my recent period of unemployment. I have been in the software engineering field for 33 years, and this past September, I was affected by a layoff for the first time in my career. To say it caused anxiety, uncertainty, and a hit to my confidence would be an understatement. Ana was assigned to my case, and I cannot praise her enough. She spoke to me with immense respect and helped me navigate the complexities of the RESEA process with ease. Her empathy and professionalism made an incredibly tough experience much more bearable. Her ability to bring a human, caring element to the process provided a sense of calm that I desperately needed. I am happy to share that I am now in my third day of a new position. I am very grateful to Ana and MassHire for their support during this transition. Ana was truly a "light in the darkness" during a low point in my life. I hope MassHire has many more representatives as effective and compassionate as she is.
