Maine Needs

Amazing organization that helps Mainers statewide. They have over 4,000 volunteers that help them with a variety of tasks. Very low overhead - VERY BIG impact. It’s a great place to donate goods and it feels wonderful to volunteer. And it all happened because one person saw a need. Maine Needs is stellar!

Maine Needs is a truly special organization rooted in compassion and respect. They prioritize dignity by ensuring donations are thoughtful, useful, and high quality, rather than unwanted castoffs. Their work makes it clear that our unhoused neighbors are worthy of care, respect, and good things — and that ethos is a great part of what makes Maine Needs so impactful.

Maine Needs has been an incredible partner in supporting my students and their families.
