Longview Dream Center

Went in today to look at their Thrift Shop and they actually had a pretty good amount of clothing. I got a bunch of stuff for myself and other family members that was much needed for this coming winter. As for the food pantry, it wasn't open today and I still refuse to go back there. Let's put this into perspective okay they claim on the website that they help on average 80 to 180 families every time the food pantry is open. They are only open for 2 days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. you can do the math on how long you are going to sit there and wait and wait and wait. It's great that they don't just help the local residents they help any family in need, in any County, in the area. That's awesome because there are many small towns that just don't have the resources. What the Dream Center needs to do is distribute these areas throughout the week. Example: Monday help 10 cities, Tuesday help 10 other city, Wednesday help 10 other cities, Thursday help 10 other cities, Fridays help 10 other cities. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What a disaster this centre has become. They make you wait over 2 hours just to get food. When you do get food most of it is rotten and unusable. Avoid this place!!!!!

This was our first time going here for assistance with food, and may be our last. They are super caring and friendly, and I love all that they do to help those in need. I'm appreciative of the things that we got that we could use, but we received quite a bit of outdated items/ ruined items that had to be thrown out. May God continue to bless them to be of service to many.

Some older lady helped me and had a bad attitude like she didn't want to be there. When asked to exchange one item she had a cow. If they speak to you with an attitude ask for someone else to assist you. Don't take it from anyone there
