Highland Food Pantry

Recently my family has gone through so many hardships recently. All the normal things that churches do for members having bad times never happened here. No one from the church ever called us, visited us, counseled us, prayed over us, prepared food for us. Any of these things would of been small acts of kindness that would have let us know we were not alone and that they cared. Buuuutttt they don't care and we were alone. On a side not we worked really hard to try to get involved here but nothing worked. We completed cards every Sunday, came forward asking to get involved, went to multiple services a week, tried to get involved in a small group were constantly reaching out and only met with nothing. I guess they don't have small groups???? Really, a Church that is this big and no small groups??? I really recommend skipping this church on your church hunt you will be better off.

We went to this church and spent way too much time trying to break into the church. We really should of stopped trying to break in here. We tried to get involved in events but were not spoken to by anyone and were given dirty looks by many people. We tried to go to Bible Class and felt pretty isolated. We tried to join a small group, they only allow people to join twice a year. We missed the first one so thats on us. We went to the next join time and were greeted with extreme hostility. The group they had sat us up with didn't like that I wasn't more successful. As soon as I said what I did for work everyone left the table immediately. They told us they would be in contact with us. We waited months for them to get back with us. And they never did. They joined a group with out us. So we wrote cards and cards saying that we wanted to join a group for many sundays...no response we went forward and tried to speak with people at the church...still no response. When we did get in touch with a minister he said that we had missed the time to join and needed to wait six more months. This church does not care if you are not in their circle. They take care of theirs and that is really all they care about. They made it abundantly clear that they had nothing but disdain for me and my family. They have all these ministers on staff all to minister to their circle. STAY FAR AWAY!!!!

I have spent so much maybe too much time wondering how a church could be this unwelcoming. We spent so long trying to break into this church. We went to the table everyday asking to be connected. No one there was interested or cared about us. I really struggle with how christains can be this unfriendly.
