Caseworker was a joke. She would schedule appointments and then call to say whatever excuse to cancel, yet in email it says the appointment went through. Then she wouldn’t have space for me and would do the following week. It was like this back to back. When I asked her for more resources or options she said that wasn’t her job, yet the coordinators said it was her job. She told me to use google. I’m not from the area and didn’t grow up learning all the resources in this state. We were bunked with another little boy who kept abusing my son and I went to the on-site helpers. They didn’t do anything. I went back home because I rather be abused then have my son be abused meanwhile I keep searching for other places that can HELP us rather than have us there. My husbands lawyer was trying to get us to go back home and even told him that’s not a place for real help, it’s just a holding house until they figure themselves in their next step to go elsewhere. How sad. I have to agree, they only help people who are beaten to death and have a ton of kids. I was told by caseworker that I would have better chances putting my name on the list wait a year and then get housing. So, it’s a year long waitlist? The woman I was room sharing with said she picked different cities for different housing. Guess what? I kept working 6-6, all those resources were doing my work hours. I had to quit in order to even speak to anyone and they told me not to quit because it was better for me. Yet, I couldn’t speak to anyone about any of their workshops for help because it was during the week.

They never help people only when you've been half beaten to death! All the places are a waste of time!
