We are members of another church but we visited FBC for their pre 4th of July fireworks show. It was very impressive. They have a top notch band that played throught the entire show.

I was at FBC Woodstock for a music rehearsal at their facilities, but not affiliated with the church. FBC has excellent facilities for music rehearsal. I have rehearsed there many times over the years. The music program at FBC Woodstock is also excellent, and their performance venue is unmatched in the area.

We went last weekend for the Easter service and I was very disappointed. The entire service was dedicated to talking about their community crisis center they want to build. It felt like a very long sales pitch of how they are going to help the community. I am all for acts of service, and where the funds of tithing go, but there is a time a place to discuss it. My stepdad is not Christian and my husband knows very little about the Bible neither one of them were raised in church. They walked away from the service knowing nothing of the last supper, the betrayal of Jesus, Good Friday, the crucifixion, what happened after Jesus rose from the dead, etc. This was so disappointing. Sometimes big events like Christmas and Easter are the first introductions someone will get to the gospel and speaking directly from it and explaining the word is key. My entire family left with a bad taste in our mouth as it really didn’t feel like a sermon, but a sales pitch.
