My stay at the shelter was pointless and useless the counselor did nothing as far as paperwork or any kind of helping to get funding or housing was more of a talking fest I needed to stay a little longer and was denied when I became in another domestic violence it’s the situation not long after I was also denied because of extenuating circumstances which I was not told what the extenuating circumstances were what I was told instead of helping they just sat around in their offices laughing there was no support groups for the woman Women in this kind of situation need counselors in a large group to help direct them into a healthy relationship and there are extenuating circumstances for a woman to need to stay past the 90 days

If residents fulfill their part of the contract by completing chores, keeping their room clean, respecting other residents, staff and being proactive toward improving their situation, they will receive the best support ever.

Was pressured into coming here through an advocate and the shelter itself due to the fact they don't hold rooms and I had to make a decision THAT day. You only get to stay a couple months and then you are out. So if you are like me having no where to go you are going to be on the street. I ended up moving back in with my abuser, but at least I have a roof over my head and not being arrested for sleeping on the street. 2 months is not long enough to find a place, especially when all low income and subsidized apartments are a 2-6 year waiting list. They should do funds to help the women and their children get into a place so they don't end up on the street or back with their abuser.

These women bend over backwards for everyone. They have been my only support system and if it wasn't for them I most likely won't t be here writing this. I want to tell then all thank you so much for all your hard work and kindness. I love you guys
