This place is absolutely not queer friendly. I stayed here and was treated horrendously for my identity, especially by administration and supportive staff. This place gave me permanent trauma and I recall so many youth here getting released to mental health institutions or jail. This is not a supportive environment, and has been investigated by DSS for multitude of abuse allegations. I highly do not recommend this place for foster youth or social workers.

Currently pregnant due November 20th 2023 & im completely homeless been tryna get help for the longest. I thought this was a place to help pregnant moms in need while pregnant but today like 5 minutes ago Alina told me that the admissions team denied my application because they didnt know anything about me or my mental helo cause i couldn’t answer some questions about some diagnosis i got in a group home when i was 13/14 years old and Im 22 going on 23 and she said they needed to know more about me which they didnt have to to top it off she said and “youre already too far along” so even though their program only helps pregnant women which I currently am when i read the criteria it didnt say anything about having to be a certain amount of months pregnant so in conclusion they’d rather let a single pregnant mother running from domestic violence asking for help be homeless because Im a women with some diagnosis i dont even know about & im too far along in my pregnancy- be homeless. Then it took them a week & 2 to tell me i got denied. So much for helping pregnant women definitely wouldn’t recommend and the front counter lady who answers the phone is very rude every time ive called up there she’s had an attitude & even hung up the phone on me 2 times today. Not professional & not what their website says their all about either

Beware of how the outside may look ! Inside is nothing more than misery . I’ve never seen so many girls 15-21 cry and feel so down about life . Why aren’t there any staff getting these girls the therapy they need ? Why is the food so nasty and people have to go days without eating ? Why don’t these girls feel unloved and feel like they are nothing but a label of a room door. I notice Ms.Tracy cares more about being on time for breakfast, lunch , and dinner than keeping the facility in order . They do not care . Stay away. Don’t say I didn’t warn you
