Vicki Walter rated 1 9 months ago I'm appauled ..... I was evicted from the shelter. Due to I cleaned up other housemates filth...on a weekend, I took out 4 bags of heaping trash, swept the floors, did all the dirty dishes that sat in the sink for approx 3 days, sanitized all the countertops, cleaned up urine splatter on the toilet, wall, and floor.... I left gentle reminders .....and I got EVICTED!!! I never pointed out a single person or mentioned any names.... I would never refer this place to even my enemy |
Emily Liddicoat rated 1 10 months ago My male friend reached out when divorcing his abusive wife for resources. He was laughed at and told to contact the homeless shelter. Men can be victims of dv and I was shocked when I heard this. After reading so many negative reviews it it is incredibly disturbing that an organization in this segment can be so awful. I hope the board/owners see these comments and do something. |
BillieJo DeKeyser rated 1 a year ago I felt like I had to walk on egg shells I had a teen with me. This place is full of cockroaches and they favor people that they like and the ones they don't. They slide a note under your door giving you a 3 day notice for my child to see it first and feel like it was her fault once again. She is traumatized and I'm sick of my daughter feeling like things are her fault. They are not professional at all here. |
Rachel Chapin rated 3 a year ago This was pre-covid, so I don't know how things have changed since. It was still a culture shock to learn to live there. Things were on the controlled chaos side. Things like hair dye, laundry soap etc can't be out in the open because of kids etc. There was a schedule of cleaning which I didn't mind if it was actually being adhered to. But the downside of living with so many others is that you will butt heads inevitably. I was tasked at one point with cleaning the fridge...I checked expiration dates diligently and cross referenced names to make sure that I wasn't throwing any present resident's food out...and promptly got hauled in to the office and got a talking to and was yanked from cleaning the fridge because someone was hysterical "how much" of their food I threw away...which I did not but ok whatever. The drama is inevitable but it's a first step which is better than nothing. IMO they need a bigger facility. Some of the staff IDK why they bother volunteering but others it's obvious they genuinely care. Fran is a rockstar. I loved the art room downstairs. Oh and don't open the windows at night, my roommate did that and it's the loudest noise on the planet. Kudos to the security system |
J.L. Probst rated 1 a year ago Called to see what resources I could get help with since I have been struggling with my current situation after my divorce and leaving me and my son's abuser. Where our case was, we have no kind of services in the area. Ice struggled to get re-established after divorcing our abuser and after relocating. Ive faced homelessness recently. I was hoping to get at least advocacy help. Something. Lady I talked to said an advocate would call me at 2:30pm. Its almost 3:30pm. Very disappointed. |
