This place is so disappointing. The first time I had applied everything went well, I had a very helpful case worker and was given enough time to find a provider. The second time I applied, my case was rushed. The caseworker I had seemed like she didn’t care to help just wanted to rush the process. She gave me only 6 days to find a provider, after sending in all my check stubs. After telling her that majority of the ones I called had a waiting list she still insisted that my case will close. After explaining to her about the waitlist, she argued back with me and told me that not all of them have waiting lists. This place is suppose to help single, low- income families who are in need of day care. She didn’t care if the provider was far from my house and from my job. But isn’t that what day care is for ? Finding one that your child can be safe in, one that’s Convenient !! Anyways my caseworker was trash, and I couldn’t even get her name.

As I read other reviews while being on hold because I was also lied to about what to do so my case could move forward. My “case worker” Vanessa has been horrible. Calling me from blocked numbers requesting information I have already told TWO other employees I do not have and should I fill out another application or something to update this and being told it’s fine they would put it down on my case. Now I’m requesting to file a complaint and being placed on hold for more than 30min only for them to tell me that I have to send an email and so on and so forth. Now having to write an appeal because even tho I was giving until TODAY to turn in the information she’s requesting she’s already closed my case.

This location acts like they want to be helpful at first, but are not. After producing all the paperwork that shows I am working, they still took my baby out of daycare! They made the decision regardless of me proving that I work and need help. Just know that your child can be abruptly removed from daycare just because thats the decision they decide to make. Now Im trying to work and have to to deal with finding another place when I thought it was all taken care of.

I have been calling for two weeks and no one answers! Finally got a call back and the lady who called me had a very sarcastic irritated tone. She asked why I was calling and I explained my whole situation of being without a sitter soon. Only for her to tell me she didn't hear anything I said. At that point I felt like I was bugging her my kids have been in an in home day care since birth. In a few weeks that will no longer be available so soon I will be out of a job because this program said I will have to wait 2 months for a call back! Thanks again!

I'm giving them 1 star because you can't give ZERO!! Child Care Group is by far the worst organization when it comes to assistance. They're not determined to help families who TRULY need assistance. They will give you the run around for months and months, and then magically tell you that you aren't even on the waiting list. If you are a parent who's actually working or going to school and doing something with your life they're not going to help you. They are set up to help the parent who sits on their lump all day long working for pennies. I'm a single mother of one, and by single mother I mean the other parent is deceased. Without even knowing the rest of my story can you imagine knowing that I was denied assistance!! They make so many excuses as to why you don't qualify or tell you you didn't submit your documents, even though you have a receipt saying that you DID!! The whole system and foundation of CCG is ridiculous... so if you want a headache and to add more stress to your life by all means contact them. But for those of you who want a peaceful experience find a different organization that actually CARES!! Because this is not it!!
