Rating a church is tough business. Chapel street church, (formerly First Baptist of Geneva), is definitely a good church for teaching, childcare, vacation Bible school, Christmas concert and more. The staff, volunteers, members, leaders are wonderful. The sermons and the teaching are solid from the Bible and God's word is taught without apology. Not a guilt trip church, but certainly not a phony feel good church either. Not an unconformable church, but not intimately comfy either. Perhaps a bit commercial/institutional.

This is truly a great church. It is large but bot “mega”, the pastor still greets churchgoers at the door prior to services. They do not waste money on stage production, the music is great with vocalists extremely talented. The teachings follow the bible with Jesus being at the center. There are no elaborate icons only one simple cross commemorating the great sacrifice and mercy of our Lord. The teachings are well delivered. The Womens Bible Study groups are the best around with great leadership. Just an all-around welcoming, friendly, and theologically sound place to worship and meet true friends. Every person that I have met at this church are just good people.
