My friend just got told they where switching her room and kicked her out for taking a picture of the sun on there property

They treated me and my kids poorly. High don't recommend

As a current resident I am so disappointed. This is no place to get true help. More like a free place to stay… when I first arrived I was told to not take my kids toys in because they would be stolen… I should have turned around and went to another DV shelter. I had no clue what I was getting into. There were no plates, bowls, cups or silverware. I was so thirsty when I came in and had no way to even get a drink of water. The public bathrooms don’t have toilet paper or soap (many children use this bathroom). There’s TVs in the rooms but no remote because apparently they get stolen??? I was given small blankets for my 3yr old and I to use when we slept. If someone came in with zero money or food stamps they would have went hungry. It’s so depressing. And the big issue is , DRUGS! A used needle was found in a POD bathroom. Residents use code words for the drugs in here. They are also very short staffed and there’s rarely a staff here 24/7. No one gets offered services for their trauma… there’s nothing. They just try to rehome you and that’s it. So sad, I will be leaving and going else where… please do better.
