Since I can’t respond to the response of my other review, I want to clarify so that future prospective adoptive parents fully understand what they are getting into with this agency. We understand adoptions fail…that was not the concern here. The issue is that this agency gave us misleading information about the birth mom, and weird random lies. Not even significant ones. Even though it obviously was so terrible experiencing this failed adoption, we would not have been so upset if it wasn’t for the way Angela treated and spoke to us at the debrief. Her lack of empathy and even just plain unkindness was shocking. She said, “you won’t get a pat on the back for adopting.”…like what!? She also told us that our caseworker wasn’t ever looking out for us throughout the whole thing and we were supposed to hire our own social worker separately…which we were never told. So all that money we paid and that was not disclosed. That seems like a strange practice that I haven’t heard about anywhere else. This agency needs some serious empathy and communication skills training. But beware, this place is in it for the money. They do not care about anyone as people.

I needed a place for my little girl to be in a loving family. I found ABSC and they were supportive and showed me different options that were available. I did a semi-open adoption that gave me the ability to see her grow up in pictures and get yearly letters about how she was doing.

Adoption by Shepherd Care is an amazing place. I used them for my 1st adoption for my son & I'm using them again, they are truly God sent. They are understanding, caring, very helpful & They entire staff is courteous. They assisted me step by step through this awesome journey & i love them. I would definitely recommend this Adoption agency to everyone. Great Job!

We had a great experience with Adoption by Shepherd Care. I was prepared for a difficult road ahead but it was not. We had ample support from the agency and our sons birthmother did as well. I cannot recommend them highly enough! In fact I tell everyone about them. Lol Our son is amazing and our family is complete. :)

We adopted two boys through Adoption by Shepherd Care (Orlando office) and had an incredibly positive and supportive experience along the journey. Melanie was fantastic and was our primary contact throughout the process. She always made time for us, genuinely cares about both the birth families and adoptive families, and has a terrific way of being encouraging without misleading; honest and compassionate in just the ways you need. When we visited the office all of the staff were kind, genuinely excited for us, and very supportive. They were well organized and because we're from out of country we were nervous about obtaining passports and going through customs. The package they provided us with included a checklist and was very concise. We didn't experience any difficulties at any borders or with any of the paperwork. After the adoptions took place we have still felt very welcome to contact them when we have questions or need support. My husband & I wholeheartedly recommend this agency to anyone who asks.
