Nativity House KC is an amazing non profit program that’s helped so many women in our community. I would suggest this program to any woman who needs help. The staff are kind and understanding and the house is very nice. There are 4 rooms for residents and their children, a very nice kitchen and a comfortable living room with another family room upstairs with books and toys. The staff work with you on what you may need and recourses. 10/10 would recommend and I believe 100% in this program.

Not a good place. This is falsely advertised as a Non-profit organization when it is a business. This house only hold three women Max and is funded by monthly donations from a group of people including the church of nativity but I know for a fact this is a business. They don't seem to care to much about your personal growth, they kind of sell you a sales pitch to get you to move in then don't work with you or do anything to make you feel like you will make it. Me personally they wanted me to sell my vehicle, you are not allowed to have a vehicle, they have trouble keeping the house staffed and between the other girls it's near impossible to say they have reliable transportation, they don't want you to have a phone the first couple months and they don't allow you to have TV's in your rooms or to have any freedom. I personally was lied to a lot by the founder Kelly. I found a better shelter that could better suit my needs (as do many others who end up here) and was told she could help me in any way perticullarly with baby clothes and never was helped. This place is just poorly ran, they don't care about you like they should, and let's make this very clear.. it is a fact that they are a business not a non profit orgnazation. They are very judgemental and don't make you feel very loved or hopeful about the future while there.
