I was looking for a free pregnancy test and ultrasound, and wasn't expecting to be held in the Christian version of Scientology. I wasn't aware at the time, but most pregancy clinics like this are Christian ran. Me and my partner were taken to separate rooms, and for over an hour questioned about our relationship with God. The women I was speaking to questioned why I wasn't Christian, dismissed when I shared experiences I had with religion, and attempted to "encourage me to find God again". Besides the religion over tones, she was very clearly attempting to persuade me to keep my pregnancy, and shut down any concerns I brought up. Basically telling me "well you can just have it and put them up for adoption". (I'll forever be pro choice ✊). The clinic continued to text me every once and awhile, asking if I kept the pregnancy and wanting me to attend their programs after I already said no. If your not Christian you might feel unsafe and uncomfortable going to one of these clinics. I highly suggest going to a plan parenthood if you're looking for help.

Wouldn’t let me in to see the first ultrasound with my girlfriend . Also made comments about me being upset after I left the room that were really unprofessional. Would not let me in the room with my girlfriend . Very upset with how they handled everything . I get it’s a free clinic but that doesn’t mean you can treat the father of the child that way .

As a Christian, I think this is a great resource for women who need help finding a supportive community as well as getting resources for insurance, baby things, options for pregnancy, etc. However, I will say these people are not licensed medical professionals. They cannot give you medical advice, give you medicine, or look at your medical history which is extremely important for pregnancy - especially if you suspect something is wrong or want to know if you and your baby are okay. My best advice is to have them help you figure out insurance and find an OB/GYN for the rest of the pregnancy. Unless, you need extra support outside of medical help too!
