First Step Women's Center, previously Lifetime Pregnancy Help Center changed the course of my life! Ten years ago when I was 17, I found myself pregnant and desperate for find a way out of my pregnancy. I meet Debbie and her family through my church. She along with my family encouraged me to seek out my options before making such a life changing decision. I was not keen on the idea of meeting with a "counselor", but decided what do I have to loose. I went with the center and was given and array of information regarding all of my options, (abortion, adoption and parenting). Never once did I feel pressured to make a decision based on the center's beliefs. Never was I put down for considering all options. The women at the center prayed for me, told me their own testimony's and provided me more care and love in that one meeting than I had felt in a long time. It was such a warm, non-confrontational, non-discriminating place to be, that I continued to go back. I became a spokes person for the center for a brief period after having my daughter in February of 2010. Choosing life for my daughter was my decision. Providing me the information to make an educated decision and showing me the power I have when I put my faith in God was theirs (Lifetime/First Step Women's Center)! I stand for everything this center believes in! I have encouraged so many women in difficult situations to just go and feel the love. To know that someone cares, speaks volumes when you find yourself in a desperate situation. Thank you Debbie, Tim, family, friends, employees and volunteers of this center. Your mission to spread the word of God in such a positive and non-invasive manner is astonishing! If anyone finds themselves in a difficult situation, please visit the center! What do you have to loose? An educated decision not based on fear or instant gratification can change the course of your life FOREVER! I know it did for me.
