I went to Care Net 20 years ago as a young mother of a toddler with another baby on the way. My abusive, "absentee" husband did little to provide for us. Care Net set up classes for me, to teach me how to become the best mother I could be. The classes were 1 on 1, interesting & very informative. It boosted my confidence & helped me feel more prepared for the arrival of baby #2. They offered me counseling services (or at least the chance to talk through some of my issues and someone to offer advice) and paid me "Mommy Bucks" for every class I attended. I cashed them in to get practically everything I needed for my baby. (clothes, diapers, baby furniture, baths, etc.) Care Net was a life saver for me! The tools they gave me boosted my confidence enough to leave an abusive marriage. When my daughter was born that's exactly what I did! (I've been happily divorced for nearly 19 years now!) It's long overdue & falls short of conveying my gratitude but I truly thank you guys for all you do. The impact Care Net had on my life is impossible to describe. What you guys do matters so much! I hope you remain a beacon of hope for mothers in need for decades to come! Shine on!
