I would like to start off by saying the night staff are absolutely amazing. I was in need of a place to stay with my special-needs son. I contacted the women’s resource center where they welcomed us with open arms. Upon arrival rules were gone over, which are just basic rules being by 10 PM be respectful and courteous. common sense stuff. I was surprised to discover that there were no child safety features anywhere within the home. Yes, there were alarms on the doors however, office staff neglected to set them. I noticed some belongings were moved as we were given a private bedroom. I set my camera up to discover day staff or rummaging through my belongings. As I seen on camera of them going through my panty drawer, I brought it to their attention that without a client knowledge or consent that that’s illegal they didn’t seem to care and their resolution was to kick my son and myself out day staff are unbelievably judgy. Please, know from the time I walked in their I was looking for adequate housing, childcare, and transportation. Working with numerous resources other than the wrc. The director was also super opinionated on how she felt about not receiving funds for a granite countertops. Which is not any clients business. Day staff was heard multiple times gossiping about other residents as they thought no one else could hear them. It’s sad that the woman’s resource center is not living up to its potential a few bad apples can destroy a Business.
