So back in the good old days, (memorial Day last year) I was SA'd. I was terrified because I was 14 and so was he. I called rainn and they referred me here. At first I was really able to calm down, and after all those calls with wonderful counselors, one person said that "this is for 18 and over the reports need to go to DYFS" and all the other counselors were aware of my age, so what in the world happened?
Overall it was a good experience
P.s DYFS doesn't do 🦈

Their counselors suck and if you have studied psychology or been in therapy for a long time, you can tell they just got out of college or are interns.
The first therapist was ok but she wasn't experienced enough to handle my cptsd. The 2nd therapist was horrible
She had her dog barking a lot then was answering her door or talking to someone off camera. Gave me a worksheet but it was a meme from instagram. She would put her chapstick on while I was talking. Asked me where my bf was vorn because he was Chinese as if Chinese people are not American citizens. Also when I decided to take a break, she constantly harassed me into coming back.
The office also decided to rank up my bill so that $5 per sessi that I couldn't pay all at once due to being low income. Now I constantly get letters for donations in the mail that I don't want. This place used to be good in the 90s but not anymore.on ended up being $140
