Don’t donate to this Shelter. My Daughter volunteered here one Summer and she said that she witnessed the Staff getting first choosing of the donated Clothing, Items, Toys, and Baby items.she also saw them eating through the donated Food in the back. That’s honestly a very disgraceful and revolting thing to do. I strongly urge you to take your donations elsewhere

They threw me out on the streets because I was PHYSICALLY INCAPABLE of doing a chore that they were requesting I do and they didn’t want to listen and overreacted entirely. ONE staff member was present. NO ONE has asked my side and listened. I asked to see a caseworker for a week so they could put me on the No program so that this wouldn’t happen because I am DISABLED and unable to do physical work after working on my feet and walking all day. They NEVER set me up with ANYONE to discuss my needs and turned me away from coming back because they “don’t know how to help” it’s not rocket science. I’m homeless. You’re a homeless shelter. Give me shelter. They get confused and forget they are a SHELTER NOT A CHURCH. All this because I didn’t check the little box next to “Christian”

This shelter is very organized, and the people who volunteer here are amazing. I was only able to stay 1 night, but I have used the facilities for showering. They are generous and considerate with their time and resources. The only time I stayed there I had nothing with me and they went out of their way to give me clothes, toiletries, a clean place to sleep and other necessities. Every time I've gone, the people who work there have been amazing. They have strict rules, but that is for their safety and ours. Also, most of the people that work there are volunteering their time. They are doing this out of the kindness of their hearts and follow the rules they're given. I have a disability, but I know that I need to do my part to get the help I need. I don't think they 'push' their religion. However, they are a religious based organization, so essentially, they live what they believe. Thank you for your organization and for your wonderful employees and volunteers.
