I entered this shelter back on april 17th and they just exited me out today June 5th under the circumstances that I “breached confidentiality “ and “the treatment of staff”. Just a few weeks ago I was supposed to transition into cross roads, Jess their housing coordinator dropped us off and left just for Chari one of their directors reached out and messaged me telling me that they wanted me to feel uplifted and comfortable and that they would love for me to come back to the shelter. So I ended up returning and it feels like they would find the smallest things to pick at me about, my luggage being on the floor, or me filling my water bottles up in the crisis office. I’m 23 weeks pregnant with a 4yo son after offering me housing and telling me that I don’t have an exit date. All the gas lighting and being held under all these unfair rules, with nothing but 2 hours from them telling me I have to leave to figure out where I’m going and packing up all my stuff that they pressured me to unpack in the first place they exited me out with no plan for the next step in a city I know no one with no vehicle to even pack our stuff into. From losing everything to thinking there will be hope at the end of the tunnel to back to losing everything all over again. Do not go to this shelter, their turn over is horrible. They get paid $5000 per person that comes into the shelter whether they stay or not they tell you they have no funding or resources. It’s like going from one dv situation to another narcissistic, problematic environment. God bless anyone trying to make it through but don’t come here.

I was beaten and broken when I came here . I was with my dog . The advocate here led me to a quiet room where I could begin to heal . Each day advocate gave me my space but began to build me back up . I've always been strong but being abused strips you from yourself. The guest here welcomed me . It was a very clean environment. I felt safe . My dog had all her needs . My healing i had to detach from this place so I can grow and rebuild myself. Turning Pointe gave me the tools to repair myself. Great staff .I love watching them be the crutch when a woman is down . They surround you and uplift you. My favorite place TURNING POINTE

Working at Turning Pointe has been the most rewarding experience of my career. The dedication and passion of the team to support survivors is truly inspiring. Every day, I witness the resilience of individuals as they begin to rebuild their lives, and it's an honor to be a part of their journey. Our team works tirelessly to ensure every person who walks through our doors feels seen, heard, and empowered. I'm proud to be part of such a compassionate, life-changing organization that is making a real difference in our community.
