This organization provides a safe place for women and children who have been battered or sexually assaulted, or who fear that they will soon be. Victims can arrange to stay in the shelter, receive information, or just talk. There is also a 24-hour crisis line and advocacy services available to victims. Additionally, TWC offers support groups, transportation assistance, and various programs for children and teens to help them overcome the effects of domestic violence. TWC also provides a violence prevention and youth empowerment program, TAAV, focused on peer education and community awareness. Furthermore, TWC offers mental health resources, TeleSafe services, and operates a thrift store.
