Dear Rebekah, As your time at Thomas House comes to an end, I just want to say — from the bottom of my heart — thank you. You will be deeply missed, not just by me, but by my entire family. We moved into Thomas House on December 27, 2024 — just the three of us: Maricarmen, our son Anthony Elazar, and me. Since then, our family has grown. Anthony is about to turn two, and on April 11, 2025, we welcomed our newest baby, Mason Eli. Through it all, you’ve been part of our journey. You’ve seen our family change, grow, struggle, and rise — and you’ve been there, every step of the way. You were more than a Program Director to us. You were a safe space, a helping hand, and a voice of comfort when we needed it most. Whenever we were unsure, overwhelmed, or just needed someone to talk to, your door was open. And more importantly, your heart was too. No matter the issue — from daily needs to emotional struggles — you never hesitated. You found solutions, even when it felt like there weren’t any. You treated us with respect, dignity, and genuine care. You made a difference, not just in our circumstances, but in our lives. It’s not easy to say goodbye to someone who’s played such a big role in our healing and growth. But I want you to know how incredibly grateful we are that our paths crossed. You helped us feel seen. You helped us feel like we belonged. And for that, we’ll never forget you. Thank you for your kindness, your patience, and your unwavering support. Wherever life takes you next, I hope you carry with you the same love and strength you gave to all of us here.
