I’m not sure how it has changed over the years but staying here was one of the best things to happen for me. At the time I came in I had a 2 month old baby, now 16, nowhere to go and needed stability to get on my feet. The counselors were great, Vivian was mines and just amazing, the rooms were adequate, the open space was nice to sit with the other moms and talk while our children played. We had weekly circles and donation night where we got really good picks of things donated from people and target. It set a good foundation for me in life and I will be forever grateful for Theresa Living center.

I certainly wouldn't donate to the place. I guarantee that 98% of what is donated does not go to whom it should be going too. I definitely should have left this review months ago. Upon reading these reviews it seems that nothing has changed for the better in 6 years. I just don't know how these places get away with what goes on.

Wouldnt suggest this place to come and live in no matter how bad your situation is.. Too much drama. Not a positive environment. Expect to be harassed by residents. Most residents are Ghetto and very disrespectful same as staff.only 1 person works there that who is nice and treats everyone with respect. Otherwise if you come here you will be harassed, and accused of stealing. Residents will steal your stuff. Not a positive place to be no matter what. Very poorly maintained there are mice.

Do not waste your time at this place run away all they care about is your money. The staff here doesn't help you like they should. They lock up tissue, paper towels, and everything else and they are saying a resident is stealing tissue like really come on who would steal tissue. Then its a storage closet here with everything you can imagine soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, laundry detergent, etc. we the residents can't even get any of them. people buy these items for the women in the house and the staff takes them and lock them up. The staff sits around and talk about some of the residents behind their back. They kick people out of the house for stupid reasons when instead of kicking someone out they can give them a blue slip. oh and they say HUD is the one who charges 30% of your income to stay in this program that is a LIE HUD gives Theresa living center money for women to live there. The staff is the one who is charging not HUD. Please search online there are better transitional housing out there do not come here you will regret it.
