The Sheepfold Thrift Store

If I could give zero stars, I would. I’m truly disappointed by the lack of kindness and professionalism shown at this establishment. There is an employee named Helen whose attitude has made me uncomfortable on more than one occasion. Because of her tone and responses, I no longer feel comfortable asking questions when she is at the register. On one visit, I asked about a possible discount. I fully understand that discounts are not required, but her response was unnecessarily rude: “Do you see the price? Well that’s the price it’s going to be.” I was genuinely shocked by how dismissive this was—especially in a Christian store, where I would expect more grace and respect. On another visit, months later, I unfortunately encountered her again. I asked how much an item would be after the 30% discount. Instead of a helpful or courteous response, she said, “Well if you take out your phone and go on the calculator, you can see that for yourself.” This came across as hostile and unprofessional. I have always been polite and respectful to every employee, so I don’t understand where this attitude is coming from. That said, I want to recognize Stacy, who has always been wonderful—kind, welcoming, and positive every time I visit. She is a true example of what the Sheepfold staff should represent. I don’t know who the manager is, but if this is seen, I strongly encourage management to address how Helen speaks to customers. This kind of behavior is not acceptable and does not reflect the values this store claims to stand

I really wanted to like this place, but it was a huge disappointment. Some items are priced higher than what they go for in the actual store it’s from, when I showed them an item and asked kindly if there’s anyway they can do a better price, they straight up told me “well maybe you should go get it from there”. For a “christian” thrift store, the vibe felt anything but welcoming. staff were rude and judgmental. so, If you’re expecting kindness, fairness, or affordable thrifting, this is not it. I won’t be coming back.

There is a lady who is sometimes at the register and she gives a ton of attitude, she will give discounts to certain customers but if you aren’t one of those customers she’ll give you attitude and roll her eyes if you ask for a small discount. I believe her name is Helen. One time I was there when a lady with a cane put a few blankets down on the register since she said it was getting heavy, and she yelled at her telling her she can’t leave them there. She couldn’t even apologize when they told her she’s sick and isn’t able to hold them for too long. As a place that claims itself to be a Christian based store, they don’t treat people/customers with respect.
