Not kept safe inside the shelter! The house was nice but the "advocates" are just glorified secretaries who bully us with joking insults or snide remarks. Because you don't do Mandatory reporting alicia and Jessica, I have keys to my storage unit.You are the worst shelter in the world.Please close your doors, find other jobs! Because none of you are advocates for women's safety and health! Sara is very very petty, 1st she new where I was going to get my haircut was Alicia's aunts salon reflections in Brookings.And instead of warning me , she got a big smirk on her face and walked away without saying anything, 2nd she kept my marked Kraft tartar sauce after I tell you I didn't like the kind you have. That's a bully! 3rd Talking about prostitutes, because Alicia said something about me being one, and you totally just stare at me while talking, hell no I'm not a hooker, Sara. How much money did you get Sara to harass me like Alicia?! I could see you doing it because you don't care about women's health! You just took that job so you could sit there and watch videos and play on your phone most of the day! You allowed those women Alicia n Jessica and her dog Gus to attack my 14yr old cat repeatedly and did nothing but laugh. You have see through curtains , so we're just a peep show for all the pervs in the neighborhood! When I covered my window because I'm not gonna be a peep show for the weirdos, you got mad at me and tell me I couldn't do that.And I said, well, I don't have any good curtains, that's an invasion of privacy.I'm doing it. You need to be shut down n Cherry at Ruths take over!

safe clean environment, good security, it's there what u need it for, shelters in smaller towns r usually cleaner & safer then big cities. u do have to work to stay and inevitably they may not let u or work with u to keep ur housing. the advocates help how they can but ultimately they want u to become independent (need daycare). I am really glad this is here and hope people will continue to support much needed services like this one. Thank you.

Safe Project of Oregon - This federally funded program (the Oregon location at least) is a joke. This is supposed to be a program designed to help those in need. Instead, the advocates seem to abuse their position of power, bully and discriminate, and hold personal grudges against the victims they should be helping. They also boot people out with no explanation what soever. There needs to be accountability and some type of independent/3rd party review being done to ensure that the people running this location are actually following procedures, spending funds accordingly, and truly helping the victims that so desperately need the help of this program. While my review may be biased, I stand firmly behind the horror stories I've heard. I will gladly be reaching out to the Board of Directors to further my grievances until they fall on ears that actually take accountability for their actions, and stand by their words and practices preached. Lastly, it would be great if the board members were not ALSO biased in this very personal situation. The people serving on this board should be independent and non biased. Guess my complaints will go nowhere as they will continue to fall on deaf ears.
