I had a horrible experience when communicating with this organization, where I was treated so rude and condescendingly. They seem deliberately discriminatory towards certain people and populations who reach out to them for help, while they post all over their social media they do indeed have the help there available to women in a DV crisis, including a safe house. I have a feeling that if you don't meet the certain "social" requirements this day in age you'll get the phone slammed down in your ear while you are in a very vulnerable situation. Never in my life have I been so shocked at how someone in a legitimate crisis was treated. You should be ashamed of yourselves with the astounding lack of empathy or concern you showed me, but in contrast are probably quite proud of that given the dehumanizing way you spoke to and treated me. Just shocking. A real eye opener in what some of these places are really about. After the way I was treated, I would have in no way felt safe or comfortable around people like this.
This, American citizens who need help, is how you are treated in this country today.

I used Hotline to help fill out paperwork for the court system and they had me fill out the wrong papers! When I asked them about this (I found out the day I went to the court) they just said they were told by the clerk it was the right piece of paper and took no accountability! Their job is to help people fill out paperwork and they can’t even get that right?! I’d never recommend them to anyone! Just fill out paperwork yourself
