I completed the Medical Billing & Coding (MCB) program, and I want to start by saying that the program is very fast-paced, especially in the beginning. It requires strong time management and dedication, and it can feel overwhelming at first.
When I first entered the program, my instructor was Mrs. Cupples. During that time, I often felt overwhelmed because the instruction felt somewhat distracted and confusing, which made the adjustment into the program more difficult. Shortly after, Mrs. Cupples left the program.
That transition was when Ms. Peoples, who is also the program director, stepped in and truly carried the program. She was teaching two separate classes at the same time—her senior students and those of us who had just started—constantly going back and forth between classes.
Despite having so much on her plate, Ms. Peoples never gave up on us or on her other students. Watching her juggle her responsibilities while still motivating and supporting us was incredibly inspiring. There were times when I wished she had more support, but she proved through her actions that perseverance and dedication matter. Seeing how much she was handling pushed my class to work harder and become better students, not only for ourselves but also to show her that we understood and appreciated everything she was doing for us.
Because of her guidance and encouragement, my entire class passed the certification exam. This program truly would not have been the same without her. Although I was nervous at first due to the unexpected change in instructors, Ms. Peoples stepped in and never let us fall behind.
I met great people, learned a valuable skill, and I’m proud to say that I am now a certified medical biller and coder.

I am currently in Module 4/5 in the Ophthalmic Assistant program here at CHCP Fort Worth, and I have nothing but good things to say about my instructors, Ms. Lauren and Ms. Barbara. They have supported me in every way possible, and I have learned so much since starting the first week of September. I have wanted to pursue ophthalmology for some time, but in the past I struggled with self-doubt. This year, I made the decision to change my life, stop doubting outcomes that hadn’t even happened, and follow my goal of becoming a COA, something I have had on mind since graduating high school in 2019. Since beginning classes, I have grown and progressed in every way, I have extra skills and certifications that I want to get into knowing what I know now once I become a COA and now I am excited as externship approaches for me. Again, a big thank you to my amazing instructors for their knowledge, expertise, and continued support. And my advisor Amber has been amazing too. She has been checking in with me since I started my classes, every time she see’s me sitting on the benches in the hallway on breaks she always says hello, asks me how classes are going, and sits down with me for a small chat. CHCP has been a great school and I’m happy I found a program that fit the time frame I was looking to get things done.

I was told that someone would reach out to me Monday of this week and today is Thursday. I had to call the 800 number to get in touch with an advisor.
I was interested in the digital sonography program and the cost of tuition is $42,900. When two well known community colleges offer all that have for far cheaper with an Associates degree in science.
