It's unfortunate that this is a church,because they'll lie to you and say there's no funds, to not assist you. I received assistance last year when I was going through a divorce with 8 kids.(needed) This is a another unforeseen circumstance I've experienced of being laid off after 6 years of working the company.I came to the best place for help, just to get a lie. Once the non good English speaking staff member found out I received help last year, she said we don't have funds for rent. We do have food for you. What sense is that to provide food to a family that could face homelessness? I'm hoping that whatever God they serve understands the true meaning of what there really doing at St.Vincent De Paul ( Rockdale county). Sad!! You go to a church for help, to not just get turned away,but judged and lied to as well.
