St. Matthew Catholic Church (Winder) and St. Vincent de Paul Conference

Nice church. Very friendly parishioners. This is my husband's UPS route so he's there daily.

Our experience at this church was very disappointing. We wanted to have our daughter baptized, but from the moment we arrived, we were treated poorly. The staff showed a negative attitude, were disrespectful, and made the process unnecessarily difficult. Even though we’ve been attending this church for over a year, they didn’t take that into consideration at all. Instead of helping or offering any kind of solution, they kept giving us excuses and obstacles. At times, their behavior even felt discriminatory. We left feeling very sad and frustrated, because all we wanted was to complete a meaningful step for our daughter. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this church — they treat people poorly, speak to you rudely, and show no willingness to help.

Reached out to Saint de Paul church for some help before I go to a homeless shelter with my 5 month old due to her father figure not being around and my grandmother passing they sent me to this church and told me they could help me out with some diapers, a gas card and a food card. Told the lady I spoke to on the phone ( Ada) i was being evicted out of my home that day and I was leaving to a shelter right after I stoped to pick up the cards and diapers. I showed up with my car PACKED full floor boards and all and she had food when I told her I had no room for food she became very rude to me and said why did you even come here and I told her I was told I’d get help with diapers and a food card she handed me a ingles card and said here’s your card. I left Crying. Mrs.Ada is very rude and needs to be taught how to deal with people correctly Especially people who’s going through a lot. She DOES NOT give y'all a good name I’ll make sure to stay far away from that church.
